Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

As I closed 2011, I looked back at my marketing and project goals.  I realized that over the course of the year, I didn’t revamp my goals at the mid year point.  2011 held some pretty great things and some heart-aches.  I met some awesomely amazing people and my family had a HUGE set back at mid year only to turn into joy and happiness by the close of 2011.  I am resetting my goals for 2012 and I will be doing some evaluating at 90 days, 6 months and 9 months.
I have really dug deep for 2011 and decided what I want.  For a few years now, I follow Chris Brogan’s 3 words for the year.  This year I have set up all of my marketing, my products, etc. to be surrounded by the 3 words I have chosen.  I have thought long and hard and realized what I want.  So this year I will focus on the following three words.
Product:

I will finish my products (Courses, books, reports, sites).  I am a serial entrepreneur and I need to finish one task before I start on the next.  I will create a “bucket list” of my big ideas so that I can store them there until I am ready to work on them.  And I will only work on two at a time.  Everything that I create will be simple yet powerful and will be easy for the reader to implement.  My first task of the year is a 6 week course on Facebook Pages and how the business owner can create powerful marketing strategies from their Page.

Redesign:

(Okay, this one is more for me, but it needs to be done)-I am in the process of restructuring my back-end.  I am putting better systems into place and really trying to help my business run on its own, so I can better support my clients.

Focus:

I want to really close in on who my Target Market is and not “falsely accept” those who are coming to me.  I did  that this year, even though I knew they were not in my Target Audience because I thought it would be a great opportunity for me, and I really did myself and my business a disservice.  I lost my drive, my energy and even created aches and pains (physically) that I have not ever had.

With these as my guides, I will also have some pretty fun posts and updates to Twitter and Facebook, and maybe some funny blog posts thrown in the mix too.  So be sure to check back!

So there you have it. My 3 words for 2012.  What would your 3 little but powerful words be?
