I totally agree. I think that Basecamp is totally worth it. But you know there are others that will and do prefer other tools.

Nice to get the comparision, but even though Basecamp is slightly more expensive I’m still a Basecamp fan and user. It’s always helpful though to have additional resources for friends, colleagues and clients.

Just a couple of things to add:

* You do not need to download the 5pm widget to track the time. It’s just an alternative way. You can report time directly in 5pm too: http://www.5pmweb.com/feature_time_tracking.php

* You can use any project with tasks as a template for a new one (through cloning): http://www.5pmweb.com/feature_cloning.php

* 5pm has a Timeline view, similar to TomsPlanner: http://www.5pmweb.com/feature_timeline.php

Great comparison. Be sure to post it over on the forums. As you know, I’m a Basecamp user as well, but it’s always nice to know how it compare to other tools!
